Simple Breakfast Bake

May 13, 2011

This is not sophisticated fare, but it sure is tasty and convenient. It’s a great breakfast or brunch dish for feeding a crowd and can be prepared in advance.  There are quite a few variations on this dish, but no matter which one you use, this has be the easiest casserole recipe ever.

Clearly, I’m all about carbs and dairy this week. I’m (wishfully) thinking that it’s going to warm up here in the next few weeks and I will no longer have the desire to heat the apartment with all of these shorts/sundress/swimsuit-unfriendly foods. Unlike the rice pudding and mac and cheese from earlier in the week, […]

Baked Mac and Cheese

February 22, 2011

The latest copy of Bon Appetit arrived today, and there on the cover was a bright red pot of mac and cheese that the editors claimed was the tastiest version they’ve ever made. Chicken Pot Pie

December 14, 2010

Growing up, chicken pot pie was not a favorite of mine. They’re filled with salty, runny gravy that your fork has to […]

Tator Tot Hotdish

November 17, 2010

Tator Tot Hotdish is just wrong. For one thing, it’s called Tator Tot Hotdish. It contains too much sodium. It’s kind of unattractive and gloppy looking. Worst of all, it’s entirely made of frozen, canned, processed foods.  But you know what? I like it. I crave it. It tastes like my childhood.
