Hi! My name is Mandy and I love to eat. I was raised by a Scandanavian/North Dakotan mother who taught me to love casseroles and a Chinese/Vietnamese father who taught me to love everything else. I live in an crackerbox cozy oldĀ apartment in Hells Kitchen Brooklyn NYC with my husband and a stinky (but totally lovable) french bulldog named Larry. I would love to own full-sized appliances a dishwasher one day.

It was a Betty Crocker angel food cake.

Twenty-something years later, I still have a major sweet tooth and I still eat the batter. Aside from black licorice, fake sugar and american cheese, I’ll eat pretty much anything. I started this blog as a creative outlet in my downtime as an actor. In the Fall of 2012, I decided to attend pastry school with the goal of embarking on a new career path.

This is my hubby, D. He is my official taste tester and dishwasher (although I question his taste buds because he recently confused yellow squash for lemons). While he does not enjoy cooking, he is a very enthusiastic eater and that’s good enough for me. He really likes cheese.

Larry is five years old. He can’t digest most foods, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to devour everything in sight. The only exception is raw spinach. He’ll leave that on the floor.

This is a place for me to share some of my favorite recipes, food adventures andĀ failures learning experiences.
